start thinking about the sequence of invention -- the LEGO model is supposed to show how technology has changed?
Potentially: each week pull out one of the types of timelines and talk about the progression and how life's changed -- then in groups of 2 or 3, brainstorm what the next change might be. What's the next thing that might be developed or invented and how would it change our lives.
Programming:
We got the 4th USB-WeDo sensor so we'll need a 4th computer
Talk about the names of the icons (I'm hoping to find a good page on one of the CD's where I can print them on cards for them and the kids search for different icons by name... Maybe put together some sample programs by lining up the icons. (Still pondering this)
Then I think they're going to need a bit more information in order to create movable objects beyond their spinning ice cream cones. They might be ready for gears again... I want them to try to put together a car with one motor -- and the 2 challenges they're going to have are changing the direction of the movement and the gears will be going too fast.
They can build and take their model to the computer to play with programming on it. 4 computers means groups of 3 students (which, again, doesn't work with the teams really well but maybe we can work around that.

This lesson plan demonstrates gears going too fast and changing the motion with a gearbox/worm gear (which we probably don't have enough of -- we need to pull those out of the boxes):

Not sure about this activity -- but it sounds cool -- maybe next time... The challenge is to construct a chair for a teddy bear where the bear won't fall out -- and then make it a wheeled chair that can be controlled by the computer?

May switch the order of the timeline and the programming -- so they listen/learn with programming and then do timeline then free build... hmmmmm.....
